Simply Put Newspaper© was created April 1st 2007 (April Fool's Day of course ) with the idea that small businesses and service companies needed a unique affordable outlet to promote and BRAND their products or services within a community. Bardstown, Kentucky was determined to be that small town community and thus, Simply Put Newspaper© was born. An 8x11 double sided piece of paper carrying 10 ads and 6 areas of interesting positive text was formatted, printed and distributed to 20 locations in Nelson County, KY weekly as of that date. Our advertisers made it possible for this to be a FREE weekly to this community.
Now it is 2010 and we are an 8 page stapled Free weekly distributed to 4 counties in Central Kentucky each week with over 200 locations for pick up! We boast that we have an 82% renewal rate of advertisers and are growing while other media is shrinking. Our positive, fun messages and stories are popular with our loyal readers and our weekly contest is a continued success story. Many other marketing outlets have partnered with Simply Put to get their own messages and events out to the general public and some even take our papers to live remotes they participate in throughout Central Kentucky, due to its popularity.
Our ad rates run from $25 per week to $150 for an insertion or a full page.
